Both Certified Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide certifications are required
High school diploma or equivalent
Current CPR certification
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration
Ability to speak and read English well enough to comprehend job duties and communicate effectively
Administer medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and report any concerns to the nurse
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
Assist with resident care and daily living activities as needed
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations
Provide compassionate, respectful care to residents and families
