Lead Shopify Developer

Our client is looking for a Lead Shopify Developer to join their team.

Formed in 2000, our client is an award-winning digital agency based in Cheltenham. They have been building e-commerce sites for over 20 years and, during that time, have offered various solutions from custom builds to WooCommerce and Magento. They are now focusing their business on e-commerce and the Shopify platform.

They currently have some exciting and complex Shopify projects in progress and are seeking a Lead Shopify Developer to join and lead their new Shopify team, which currently consists of three full-time Shopify Developers and two part-time Developers.

They are a close-knit team of 30+ who share a real passion for the internet. The team enjoys pushing the boundaries of what's possible online and are encouraged to experiment and develop their talents within a collaborative environment.

Technical Requirements:

• Shopify training course/certifications completed
• Expert knowledge of Shopify theme development and customization
• Experience developing custom Shopify Apps
• Expert knowledge of Shopify API integration
• Experience with Storefront API and working with custom themes
• Experience migrating e-commerce sites to Shopify from other platforms

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Remix framework

Personal Skills:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to other developers and, occasionally, to clients
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a close-knit team

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Advising on the best solutions to technical challenges on the Shopify platform
• Listening to other ideas and helping to foster a positive and supportive team environment
• Sharing knowledge with the rest of the Shopify team
• Building and customizing Shopify stores
• Developing custom Shopify Apps
• Migrating e-commerce sites to Shopify from other platforms
• Ensuring optimal site performance and security
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
